USMC FUTURES CONCEPTS/DOCTRINE ANALYST job available in SUFFOLK, VA.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will serve as an operational analyst responsible for analytical support, focusing primarily on USMC roles and responsibilities in the analysis and development of Joint doctrine and Joint future concepts for the US Joint Staff. Analyst will also be responsible for providing support to meetings and processes such program reviews. He/She will interact with action officers and subject matter experts on the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and Agencies and subordinate commands to solve issues during doctrine/ concept development, review and staffing.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field and at least ten (10+) years' experience in analysis support to the Department of Defense (DoD) are required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to work in a team environment leading integrated product teams and conducting analysis on the documentation of diverse projects supporting Joint warfighter needs.
- High degree of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform research independently or as part of a team, and meet deadlines, while working in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven, production-oriented environment.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- Three years' experience in associated staff positions supporting Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) is desired.
- Experience supporting any of the MEFs deployed in any recent conflicts is desired.
- Current or previous experience as an operational planner on a Joint staff, COCOM or JTF (Brigade level or above)is also desired.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
An active, transferable DoD Secret (or higher) clearance is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for upgraded access to information and/or facilities classified as Top Secret.
