Configuration Management Specialist (Job Number:405028)
Description:
We are currently looking for a Configuration Management Specialist to support the AMC Agile Development contract, supporting the US Air Force’s Air Mobility Command (AMC) at Scott AFB, IL, to develop, deliver, test, and field various applications in support of AMC's shift to an Enterprise Agile software construction methodology to manage its portfolio of air mobility command and control (C2) projects, programs, application, and infrastructure. SAIC and its teammates will elicit requirements from the AMC’s mission planning/execution community, then utilize Agile development, secure application development, and information assurance best practices to test, field, certify/accredit and support software in support AMC’s global airlift, air refueling, aeromedical evacuation, and mission support tasks.
The Configuration Management Specialist provides configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Provides configuration planning. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and software and related documentation. Provides configuration change control. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Provides configuration status accounting. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration. Is responsible for configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software. Supports software quality assurance process audits.
Qualifications
:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Agile development processes
- Experience working in a DoD software development environment
- Experience in air mobility mission planning and/or familiarity with 618th Air & Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center) mission sets.
