Description:
SAIC is seeking multiple individuals to execute its Electronic Technical Work Document (eTWD) System opportunity for the Naval Sea Systems Command 04 (NAVSEA 04). NAVSEA 04 Logistics, Maintenance and Industrial Operations’ four naval shipyards (NSYs) perform the overhaul and modernization of the US Navy’s submarines and surface ships. This work is accomplished through work packages known as technical work documents (TWDs). The Electronic Technical Work Document (eTWD) System is a “new development” solution that will automate the extant TWD process and meet the requirements of the Navy’s overhaul and modernization process.
The eTWD team will provide all aspects of program management, system/software engineering, and information assurance management.
We are looking for a Software Systems Engineer to be a member of an Agile development team. Provides software/system engineering services to include system development, configuration, integration, test and deployment. Supports the eTWD Chief Engineer/Architect in all aspects of the eTWD system development. Develops and maintains the Systems Engineering Management Plan and associated technical plans. Verifies plan compliance with the NAVSEA’s Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) System Engineering Plan (SEP) v1.0. Assists in the identification of required engineering and specialty discipline requirements and manages the integration of those disciplines. Helps coordinate and participates in the technical reviews and control gates. In coordination with CM, defines the technical baselines and contents of the engineering repository and archives. Reviews and approves the system requirements to ensure the proper translation of stakeholder requirements into system technical requirements. Reviews and approves verification and validation plans; supports verification and validation activities. Supports transition-to-use activities
The successful candidate will have:
- experience working on Agile development teams
- an understanding of software assurance techniques and technologies which promote system integrity and protect from threats and vulnerabilities
- full life cycle software/system development experience
- excellent communication skills
- working knowledge of NAVSEA’s Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) System Engineering Plan (SEP) v1.0
Qualifications
:
Required Experience and Education:
9+ years’ systems engineering experience
Agile or Scrum experience
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Must hold a DoD SECRET Clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field
Desired Experience and Education:
Skills: HP’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Unified Functional Testing (UFT) tools.
Advanced degree a plus
Knowledge/experience in project management
