SAIC in Huntsville, Alabama currently has an opening for a Junior to Mid level Software Developer, to support the Software Engineering Directorate at Redstone Arsenal.
Job Description: The candidate for this position will provide software development support to the U.S. Army Software Engineering Directorate’s Aviation Automated Logistics team. Development is in a Microsoft Windows environment utilizing Visual Studio 2012. Candidate will be working as part of a software development team that is designing and developing software applications to enhance Army Aviation maintenance and operations activities as well as integrating existing aviation software applications. This effort will provide the next generation of aircraft maintenance software to be utilized by Army aviation units throughout the world.
Qualifications
:
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in computer engineering, computer science, or related technical field (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
Required Skills: Candidate must have 2+ years experience programming. Candidate must possess an understanding of the Microsoft .Net development environments and Windows Presentation Foundation methodologies. Candidate must be proficient in C# and SQL programming and have the ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation. Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance
Desired Skills: Experience working in a CMM Level 3 or higher organization, experience with Scrum/Agile process, knowledge of Army Aviation systems and data is a plus. Other technology skills desired
