Description:
Under specific direction, the IA SME is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing IA policies and procedures; prepare plans, instructions, guidance, and operating procedures; develop security requirements; participating in risk assessments; ensuring compliance with standards; ensuring inspections, tests, and reviews are conducted; reviewing and evaluating the adequacy of security measures; providing leadership and direction to ensure IA awareness, basics, literacy, and training are provided and understood.
Required Skills: A broad understanding of IA policies, processes, and procedures. Experience in the preparation, coordination, and submittal of DIACAP documentation and certification and accreditation request. Experience evaluating IA issues and developing and implementing solutions to address those issues.
Desired Skills: Familiar with a variety information technology concepts, practices, and procedures and experience in one or more of the following systems: IMC, RMS/LMDB, PRPS, REMIS, WSMI, AFEMS, SCS, DMSI, DMLS, ATOS, ETIMS/ETOV, JCALS, JEDMICS, and/or TMSS. Experience using both automated and manual means to evaluate and resolve system and software security issues.
Qualifications
:
Education/Experience: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 6+years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience may be substituted for a degree.
Certifications: DOD 8570.1-m certifications for performance of duties as an IAT Level II (CISSP or equivalent).
