Description:
The Senior Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for working within their specified program areas performing design, development, analysis, test, and sustain of commercial-off-the-shelf and government-off-the-shelf applications, databases, hardware/software and high-level architectural concepts and documentation. The SME is responsible for providing highly technical and/or specialized guidance concerning solutions to complex IT problems related to the subject field. The SME provides customer support using enterprise solutions software to integrate business areas, consistent with today’s technology in order to operate in an open systems environment and client service architectures. The individual may be responsible for project management and leading and directing other members of their team.
Required Skills: The SME must have familiarity with a variety of information technology concepts, practices, and procedures and experience in one or more of the following systems: IMC, RMS/LMDB, PRPS, REMIS, WSMI, AFEMS, SCS, DMSI, DMLS, ATOS, ETIMS/ETOV, JCALS, JEDMICS, and/or TMSS.
Desired Skills: The ability to perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: hardware/software, concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal; performs duties such as site surveys, system evaluation, system analysis, architecture, and infrastructure assessment; ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; Experience conducting and or participating in customer and leadership focus groups, the configuration control board, requirements review board, and functional review boards; reviews, evaluates and assists with the resolution of Software Problem Reports Deficiency Reports (DRs), Baseline Change Requests (BCRs),and CSRD.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: A minimum of a bachelor’s in the area of specialty and 9+years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience may be substituted for a degree.
Certifications: DOD 8570.1-m certifications for performance of duties as an IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent).
