QA Engineer (Job Number:402904)
Description:
The candidate for this position will perform Quality Assurance (QA) functions per the organizational Software Engineering Directorate (SEO) Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Level 2 Process based on Capability Maturity Model/Integrated (CMMI) policies and Processes. Tasks will include product audits, process audits, process improvement, software code reviews, document reviews, and testing. The selected candidate will provide support to SCRS QA Manager with QA oversight tasks. Additionally, the candidate will support the process improvement objectives and quality assurance initiatives of the SEO organization to include achieving CMMI Maturity Level 3.
Qualifications:
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required (4 years of related experience is accepted in lieu of degree). Five (5+) years of experience in the related field is required. Experience shall include a range of tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.
Required Skills: Must have QA experience, preferred QA (Software Quality Assurance) experience, to include experience performing process audits. Having experience using the database tool Dimensions is a plus, which will involve setting up projects in Dimensions to specific processes identified in CMMI Level 3. Must have testing abilities and have been involved in Unit or Lower Level Testing and system Level Testing. The selected candidate should be familiar with ISO 9000 and CMMI level 3 processes. The selected candidate must possess excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written).
