OPERATIONS ANALYST job available in HUNSTVILLE, AL.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Analyst will be primarily responsible for daily activities of the Force Protection Operations Center (FPOC) supporting units in theater, coordinating information sources, performing complex research and analysis in support of daily operations. He/She will coordinate management of technical issues, acting as point of contact for information requests, ensuring flow of communication to appropriate personnel and reviewing action items as they impact the FPOC. He/She will collaborate with key operating personnel, determining kind, source and frequency of reports and data needed in the assigned commodity area of the program. This data supports long-range operations, current fielding rates, and risks associated with system sustainment. Candidate will coordinate initiatives and consolidates organizational input to numerous tasks relevant to Business Management, Systems Engineering and Integration, Logistics, Training, Document/Configuration Management, Security, and Conferences. Operations Analyst will also researches, compile and present in-depth briefings to FPOC and higher level management officials to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. He/She will work with senior government and contractor personnel on a daily basis. Operations Analyst will also provide secondary general management and administration support to the FPOC, as needed. Occasional extended hours or shift work, may be required.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 1-2+ years of related experience are preferred. High School diploma or GED and 4 additional years' experience (5-6+ total) may be substituted for the degree requirement. Candidates must be knowledgeable and skilled in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to measure effectiveness and efficiency of program operations against planned programs on a commodity-wide basis. Ability to develops information papers, reports, and briefing materials is also required.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Prior military service is highly preferred, but not required.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required (an existing/transferable clearance is highly preferred). Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or facilities.
