SAIC has a career opportunity for a Mission Support Team Lead located in Albuquerque, NM. Must have (at a minimum) an active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret to be considered for this position.
JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a background in Information technology and project team leadership for an Engineering Design and Integration Team Lead.
Selected candidate will be leading a team dedicated to the IT support and Infrastructure of an Engineering Design customer base while interfacing with other enterprise IT organizations. Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting centralized and distributed physical and virtual Windows servers in a classified and unclassified environment by applying technical and operational knowledge to configure, operate, and maintain information processing and telecommunications systems and analyzing performance statistics to support tuning, automation, and optimization activities.
- Assign and track daily project and work tasks for other team members.
- Provides technical expertise to organizations in the area of system upgrades, process improvements, adherence to security requirements, and infrastructure improvements.
- Keeps manager well informed of status of projects and serves as liaison between staff and manager.
- Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule.
- Manages the development of team by ensuring that project tasks are in line with customer’s strategic objectives.
- Manages the process of innovative change effectively and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
- Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.
Qualifications
:
REQUIRED:
Strong experience in Windows Operating Systems including management and troubleshooting (system setup, account management, file services, backup/restore, license management, print and application hosting, end-user application support).
Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 3+ years of operating systems experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Team Lead/Supervior over a team of IT professionals.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are also required.
DESIRED:
Experience would be desirable in the following areas:
- Licensing server software including FlexLM, Solidworks, and Bentley Licensing
- Engineering (AutoCAD, CETOL) applications including PTC, Creo, Matlab and Solidworks
- Analysis applications including DART-Tools, DART Workbench, and LabView
- Centralized security patch management for select customer assets and infrastructure.
