Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has a continuous stream of technical and managerial positions to fill for the Joint National Integration Center Research and Development Contract (JRDC). The JRDC is a large contract which supports the Missile Defense Agency in several locations. The primary locations are (1) Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL, (2) the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) on Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO, and (3) Fort Belvoir in the National Capital Region. Other smaller support locations exist on Kauai, HI, military bases in Alaska, and, in the future, possibly in Europe. We support the Missile Defense Agency in several ways to include (1) the integration of modeling and simulation into exercises and wargames, (2) analysis of exercises and wargames, (3) development of command, control, and battle management software, and (4) support to MDA’s Information Technology (IT) Services.

IT Software Developer/Engineer/Technician opportunities include the following:
Software Integration & Test Engineer (JRDC 2648). Junior level Software Integration & Test Engineer to support the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) organization in the Modeling & Simulation Directorate on the JRDC program at Schriever AFB, CO.
Position Description: Position requires a software integration and test engineer with experience in software development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems. Will integrate and test model software into the MDST baseline. Will create and develop scenarios to be used for integration testing. Will manage the MDST integrated product using the Synergy CM tool and a potential different CM tool currently being studied. Will develop system tests to verify the MDST product against the software and system requirements. Will develop and maintain integration and test tools and perform MDST product installation at customer sites, possibly requiring some travel. The Software Integration and Test Engineer will also perform some software engineering tasks (design, develop, test, and document) of simulation products for the MDST organization using C++, C and Java programming languages on Linux operating systems. Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with MDST customers and presenting technical briefings to MDST stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related engineering discipline. Candidate must have 5 at least years of relevant experience and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Integration and Testing and in all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, code, test and integration. Must be able to program in C++, have a strong understanding of object oriented software development, and have a basic understanding of UNIX and/or Linux. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Must currently have, or able to obtain, a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Requirements: Experience in Synergy CM, Synergy Change, or JIRA. Experience with agile testing in a Scrum environment, testing to user stories and continuous integration and deployment tools such as Cruise Control, Jenkins, Hudson or Bamboo CI suites. Experience in developing software in Java. Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, spaced-based sensor systems, modeling and simulation development, UNIX and Linux platforms, or CMMI.
Sensor Analyst (JRDC 2652). Sensor Analyst to provide engineering support for the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Directorate Open Systems Architecture Sensor Models (OSM) organization on the JRDC program at Schriever AFB, CO.
Position Description: The Analyst will work with a team of engineers and analysts on the development and implementation of a suite of sensor models used for element and system level analysis and verification and validation of models and simulations. The Analyst will provide analysis and integration support for BMDS events including performance assessments, exercises, wargames, element software development/testing, system development, risk reduction, ground/flight tests and mission planning. The Analyst will interface directly with stakeholders and customers to provide analysis and integration support. The analyst will become an expert in OSM software configuration and setup, and may support remote installation of the OSM as well as support related analysis issues (some travel may be required). The Analyst will help develop and support an OSM regression testing plan, as well as automated behavior validation. The Analyst will work in conjunction with the government customer to support sensor model VV&A.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field and 5 years of related experience. Experience analyzing and plotting complex data using MATLAB. Must have a strong background in math and physics. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Must possess good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to support occasional travel. Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements: Knowledge of radio physics/radar domain. Proficient with MySQL. Experience with “DSA” tool suite, including SETS, ATS, GAAp, CLATS, PATS, etc. Familiarity with Linux and/or Unix-based development. Familiarity with multiple MDA digital frameworks, including DESIM, DSA, SSF, etc. Knowledge/experience in simulation modeling. Familiarity with MS Office applications. Current DoD Secret Clearance.
