Information Assurance Engineer (Job Number:405920)
Description:
The Naval Undersea Warfare Division in Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) is in need of a cybersecurity professional to assist in maintaining the Information Assurance (IA) posture of a Code 85 closed enclave computer laboratory. The applicant will be supervised by the lab's cybersecurity workforce to maintain patch levels, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) checklists, and other IA regulations. Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems is required.
A Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Microsoft Windows Server Administration
- Linux workstations and Centrify
- Active Directory
- Logging
- Auditing
- Access Control
Certifications Preferred:
- Security Plus
- Red Hat Certified Engineer RCHE (Linux) or Windows Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or greater
Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4+ years related experience. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
