Alfresco Software Engineer (Job Number:405343)
Description:
SAIC is seeking an Alfresco Software Engineer located in Fort Meade, Maryland. **The candidate must have ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance**
The Alfresco Software Engineer (SE) will be responsible for developing, integrating and supporting the deployment of a content management system, including a document repository, content modeling, workflow, auditing, and security modeling, for a DoD client. The Alfresco SE will also be responsible for integration with existing architectures (Weblogic, J2EE, etc.), develop Activiti workflows and their corresponding forms, in UNIX and MS Windows environments. The Alfresco SE will be the primary point of contact for system owners seeking to create new, or migrate or modify existing workflows.
This position requires experience with full life cycle development using Agile practices. Strong communication and task management skills are required to maintain scheduled tasks. Ability to mutli-task and re-prioritize tasks is required. Expected to participate in functional requirement meetings, stakeholder reviews, and Sprint retrospectives.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 8 years progressive experience engineering, designing and developing applications, of which 5 years must be in Content Management Systems including 3 years specifically using Alfresco. Candidates must have evidence of experience in the following:
- Expertise in all aspects of workflow creation, form creation, including performance and tuning, monitoring, software maintenance, tracking of active workflow instances, user access and access control methods, code and object promotion, and other general issue resolution techniques.
- Performing root cause analysis for workflow issues, application performance and connectivity issues, and other infrastructure problems and provide findings, solutions, and recommendations to team leaders and management.
- Expertise in engineering/development using Agile practices.
- Providing status reports and other information to management as needed.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
Desired Skills
- Experience deploying to UNIX, MS Windows and SQL environments.
- Experience with a legacy conversion to Alfresco.
- Experience using JasperSoft and Shibboleth
Education
Bachelor’s degree (plus 8 years of IT experience) or an Associate’s degree (plus 10 years of IT experience) from an accredited institution in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field.
