Computer Systems Analyst / Systems Engineer (Job Number:402369)

The Navy Marine Corps BU currently has an opening for a Computer Systems Analyst/Systems Engineer.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ONE-NET, short for OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) Navy Enterprise Network, is similar to the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), which provides its users on shore installations overseas a single integrated network. ONE-NET provides the centralized information assurance, intrusion detection, monitoring, reporting tools, processes and remediation of the network. The prospective employee will be part of a team that conducts technical support for desktops and laptops that have recently being migrated to Windows 7 (WBSC 3.0 image).
Primary duties for the prospective employee will include:
- Support the troubleshooting and resolution of issues/problems regarding clients with problems related the following subjects:
- Enterprise Applications (EA) running on Windows 7;
- Data at Rest (DAR);
- Host Base Security System (HBSS);
- Interoperability with peripheral devices (printers, faxes, external drives, etc.);
- Microsoft products within the Windows 7 suite;
- CM 2012 deployment tool;
- Client’s data storage and restoration;
- Exchange (or Domain) connectivity
- Test to ensure satisfactory operation, availability and readiness after desktop and laptops have being migrate to Windows 7
- The contractor shall perform, troubleshooting and testing of network configuration and provide documentation updates for each client that receive technical support.
- Updating, modifying, maintaining and performing daily record entries on an enterprise GOTS database for the ONE-NET program. Organize the collected data, input them into the database and correctly associate each data record with a new workstation along with its associated profiles and enterprise applications.
- Generate a daily summary report detailing the numbers of workstations that have been refreshed and a report detailing workstations that were not completed for that day. The engineer must also ensure that all collected hard drives’ serial numbers are correctly inserted into the database, corresponding to the record for that refreshed workstation. Approximately 20% of the tasking will require the engineer to deploy enterprise applications to refresh workstations via SCCM 2012.
- Determine with the site representative what applications are required for each workstation and their respective users.
- Maintain and ensure that the server hosting the database is free from virus and IA vulnerabilities.
- Scan all workstations using Retina scanning tool and ensure that all the latest patches have been applied before the workstations can be deployed into the enterprise network.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Possession of a High School diploma. 6-9 years related experience.
- Applicant must be at least IAT Level 1 certified to be IAWF compliant.
To be IAT Level 1 certified the applicant MUST possess a security Certificate (One of the three):
- 1. Security+ (301) certificate
- 2. Certified Authorization Professional (ISC2/CAP)
- 3. Certified Ethical Hacker v7 (EC-Council/312-50)
Also MUST have one of the following OS related certificates (One of the 27 listed below):
