Description:
Full-time BMDS Engineer providing support to the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Program.
Tasks include:
- Plan and define engineering management of current and next build technical baselines and future concepts.
- Provide support for specification development of future C2BMC spiral activities.
- Assess and report on all trade studies and analysis activities supporting C2BMC spiral build capabilities
- Assess individual product schedules to determine viability and utility of trade and study products
- Assist with Missile Defense advanced research from domestic and foreign universities
- Develop briefings and coordinate with researchers and other MDA offices.
- Provide written and oral feedback from various sessions and contacts with other sources.
- Assist with management of specific technology projects, which may include test plan reviews, and project schedule reviews and assist with guiding projects towards technical areas of interest.
- Work with other MDA directorates/functional organizations for collaboration and coordination on briefings, status reports and responses to taskings.
Essential candidate attributes include:
- Experience working with MDA is required.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are required.
- Ability to interact successfully with engineers and analysts from government and contractor organizations, al all levels of seniority, is required.
- Ability to execute tasks effectively with little guidance is required.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to work in planning forums is required.
- Excellent, established computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Word.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- DoD Secret security clearance and Master’s Degree in an appropriate engineering or hard science discipline.
Ideal candidate attributes include:
- Working knowledge and experience in systems engineering
- Working knowledge and experience with Ballistic Missile Defense System
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree-Engineering/Hard Science and a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
