Web Service Developer (Job Number:404395)
Description:
Work Location is at the customer facility on Offutt AFB.
Candidate will work very closely with the Customer, the end user community, Government IT staff and other SAIC engineering/technical staff and become an integrated part of the customer team. Candidate will be co-located with the customer. Responsibilities will include: performing operations and maintenance for existing Web Services, developing future Web Services, understanding customer needs and requirements, creating designs, developing creative ways to improve customer communication capabilities, understanding various IT initiatives currently underway and providing alternative solutions if necessary, looking for ways to improve business efficiencies, working to ensure current systems security requirements are maintained. Must be able to actively participate in weekly development status meeting as well as ongoing product development design, review and integration meetings, be able to voice concerns and advise on possible resolutions. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver tasks in a timely manner.

Education Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related applicable fields.
Skills Required:
Minimum of five years of experience required, twelve years preferred.
Candidate must be able to show Mid to Expert Level .net, XML or java web service development. Candidate must have the ability to create a Web service endpoint. Skills required include:
1. Determine the type of WSDL to use.
2. Model a database to store the data.
3. Generate the Web service endpoint based on the WSDL.
4. Create the business logic layer and data access layer to serve the
5. data through the endpoint.
6. Implement authentication and authorization policies.
7. Implement publisher portion of the pub/sub methodology.
Candidate must have the ability to create a Web service consumer. Skills required include:
1. Generate the service consumer code based on the WSDL used by the endpoint.
2. Ensure that the current database can store the data being consumed. If it cannot, then modify the database so it will support the data.
3. Write the business logic layer and data access layer.
4. Implement the subscriber portion of the pub/sub methodology.
