Required Skills: A thorough knowledge and understanding of electrical circuit design, interface protocols, networks and power systems is required. Candidate must have ability to express self effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to create unified written documentation of system block diagrams, cable assemblies, interconnection drawings, materials and illustrations required to support the development and production of integrated shipboard electronic systems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
BS in Electrical Engineering.
Desired Skills: Proficiency in creating block diagrams with Visio Pro; Experience using PCB CAD design software; Ability to analyze and specify modifications to mechanical assemblies. Prior US Navy experience is highly desirable. Experience or internship with SPAWAR SSC Pacific highly desirable. Must be able to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance.

The Junior Engineer will assist in performing engineering tasks for Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems for U.S. Navy, and foreign ships and shore facilities. May be responsible for PCB circuit design and CAD layout, block diagrams, cable assemblies, interconnection drawings, materials and illustrations required to support the development and production of integrated shipboard electronic systems. Reviews materials prepared by other contractors to determine validity of content to meet customer requirements. Assists in analyzing commercially available electronic components for functional suitability. Completed assignments are presented to supervisor for review and approval.
