Description:
SAIC is looking to hire a Tier II Desktop Technician located in Albuquerque, NM.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for hardware set up, software installs and troubleshooting of centralized and distributed Windows systems. Provide system administration for the Classified Diskless computing environment and Stateless Thin Client support on classified systems.
- Provide support for Stand Alone Classified computing systems.
- Working with and protecting information at the levels of Secret Restricted Data (SRD) and Secret Formerly Restricted Data (SFRD).
- Viewing, handling and communicating Official Use Only (OUO) information.
- Provide technical expertise to organizations in the area of system upgrades, process improvements, security requirements, infrastructure improvements, ect.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance is required to perform work on classified networks.
- 4 year of related technical support experience.
- Strong experience in Desktop Administration and troubleshooting (system setup, account management, backup/restore, network printers, application installation and peripheral installations).
- Troubleshooting Windows 7/XP
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are also required.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience would be desirable in the following areas: Classified Networks, Server administration, Backups, Pro/Engineer, Solid Works, MathCAD, Matlab.
- Familiar with Sandia Cyber Security processes, procedures and resources.
- Possesses as strong working knowledge of the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) model.
