Description:
The incumbent serves as a program analyst in support of the Triton Requirements baseline Configuration/Data Manager. The incumbent serves in a staff capacity providing Program Managers, Air (PMA) and the Triton respective Integrated Program Teams (IPT) with Configuration Management (CM) process guidance and a variety of evaluative material needed to plan, execute and monitor the status of their acquisition programs. As a representative of the Configuration/Data management Team the incumbent is tasked and responsible for providing CM competency guidance and valid and timely analytical data for responsible decision-making. Incumbent must demonstrate the mastery of the theory, principles, practices and techniques of material acquisition programs with regard to CM and the areas of configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits as applied to aircraft and weapons system modifications. Incumbent must have a working knowledge of related technical data policy and procedures. Configuration Management involves the technical and administrative direction and surveillance to properly identify and control changes to and record the configuration and change implementation status to the physical and functional characteristics of major weapon systems, subsystems and equipment. Configuration Identification involves identifying and documenting technical descriptions required to identify the physical/functional characteristics of weapons systems, subsystems and equipment; establishing configuration identification baselines for change control; and numbering and marking of technical documentation. Must have the ability to respond to and implement new acquisition reform changes impacting current CM requirements, evaluate contractor CM and ECP cost proposals for meeting such requirements, and evaluate the progress of CM and related technical data requirements for major weapons systems programs. Broad understanding of mechanical, electronics and industrial engineering aspects of problems related to the development and production of naval aviation systems, subsystems and associated equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years related experience.
Required Experience: Experience with major acquisition programs and documentation. Skills in providing representations at meetings and to include preparing and delivering oral and written presentations containing analyses and recommendations fore developing and implementing schedule activity for CM related technical data policy and procedures.
Knowledge and experience in reviewing engineering drawings, conducting functional configuration audits (FCA) and physical configuration audits (PCA) for verifying product performance and identification documentation. Incumbent assists the CDM Lead in the development of FCA/PCA related training modules for presentation to the PMA/IPT as well as other competency/functional personnel for the conduct of audit activity. Skills in providing representations at meetings and to include preparing and delivering oral and written presentations containing analyses and recommendations fore developing and implementing schedule activity for CM related technical data policy and procedures.
