Software Engineer
Location: ATR – Aircraft Signature & Avionics Measurements Branch (ASAM)
Duties: Design, develop, create, modify and test software for ASAM applications including those used in the Broadband Emitter Antenna Measurement System (BEAMS) and the Advanced Dynamic Aircraft Measuring System (ADAMS).
General Functions:
- Defining system and software requirements
- Developing system and software requirements and design documentation
- Developing test plans, test descriptions, test procedures, and test reports
- Verifying implementation of system and software requirements
- Conducting requirements correlation analysis and system performance assessments
- Design, development and maintenance of software
- Configuration management of ASAM systems and software
- System and software documentation development, verification and maintenance
- Software test and evaluation
- Performing test analysis to determine system and test coverage, to evaluate critical test results, and to evaluate all software changes
- Performing code inspections for proper test sequences, consistent interfaces, correct data flow, completeness, and appropriate logic flow
- Ensuring that software changes are thoroughly tested, and accepted, and that changes made during testing do not adversely affect systems and software performance
- Conducting demonstrations, for validation and training purposes, of created or modified software programs
- Monitoring the software development process and providing technical consultation to team leaders and team members
- Participating in working groups, acquisition milestone reviews, and formal qualification testing in order to identify potential risks to ASAM systems
- Resolving software and system interface problems
Other Experience, Skills, Requirements, and Information:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience associated with software development Knowledgeable in computer software/hardware, automated data processing systems, and computer systems interfacing
- Experience in MATLAB and C++ required
- Experience in MySQL and/or Corefire and/or QT preferred
- Experience in signal processing desired
- Some travel may be required
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics from an accredited college or university
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
