Wargaming Plan Analyst (Job Number:403169)
Description:
Wargaming is an essential analytic capability supported by a disciplined process to reduce uncertainty by stimulating ideas and providing insights that may not otherwise be discovered. The WGC directly supports the Commander’s objectives and priorities for visualizing, displaying, synchronizing, and rehearsing strategic and operational mission concepts. Based on Command and sponsor requirements, the contractor will assist in developing and executing wargames, rehearsal of concept drills, tabletop exercises, and seminar events to enhance senior leader discussions, deliberate and crisis action planning, and advocacy.
- Extensive experience in design, planning, scenario development and execution of wargames

- Understands the interrelationships between domain of expertise and other domains
- Ability to work well with other organizations and personnel with disparate backgrounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal

- Strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Experience in MS Office software, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint required; experience in MS Project and MS Access, desired;
- Possess a rich and deep domain expertise and experience in one or more of USSTRATCOM’s UCP assigned mission areas.
- Knowledgeable of and able to speak authoritatively on all aspects of that mission area including planning, operations, missions systems, advocacy, and processes related to that mission area.
- TS/SCI clearance
Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a scientific or equivalent discipline and 5 years of related experience (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
- At least 5 years of operational and/or planning experience
- At least 5 years designing and framing complex issues to include context mapping
- Ability to understand the limitations and uncertainty of analyses performed and properly convey these in a balanced way to decision makers
- Experience with wargaming and modeling and simulation software highly desired
