Senior Cisco Network Engineer (CCIE) (Job Number:403123)
Description:
SAIC is seeking a Senior Cisco Network Engineer (CCIE) to support the US CENTCOM at MacDill AFB.
The Senior Network Engineer will perform network engineering on major USCENTCOM projects and production networks, providing all levels of support, guidance, and oversight. Tasks involve the full system engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Duties include making recommendations to internal customers for their data, voice and video networks. Will supervise and/or perform the installation, configuration, and testing of LAN/WAN environments and interface as necessary with vendors to resolve system configurations, integration problems, and other issues. Will interface and work closely with the Network Security organizations as well other IT groups. Will provide Tier 3 level troubleshooting support for the various networks. Provide senior networking engineer oversight on major projects and designs. Provide mentoring and training to junior technicians.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to get a TS/SCI
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field (equivalent years of experience accepted in lieu of degree)
- CCIE certification
- 10+ years of experience in Cisco LAN/WAN design, implementation, and maintenance
- Experience with:
- MPLS WAN technology
- EIGRP, BGP, IGP, OSPF
- SpanningTree and HSRP/VRRP
- Datacenter Network Design (Nexus 7kkkk, Virtual PortChannel, Virtual Environment)
- Cisco ASA firewalls
- VoIP (Design and troubleshooting)
- Cisco Virtual Switching System
- IPSEC (Design and troubleshooting)
- HAIPE (implementation and design)
Desired Education and Experience
- CCIE Data Center specialization preferred.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT, Level II requirements or higher (CompTIA Security +, CCNA Security, or higher)
