Operations Security Generalist II (Job Number:402872)
Description:
SAIC is looking for Operations Security Generalists to work in San Antonio. Generalists will plan joint military operations, provide scenario development and execution, conduct open source research, and/or provide cyber intelligence analysis.
Personnel shall possess combinations of the skill sets listed below (two or more of the four functional specialties) in order to be capable of performing multiple roles, as mission requirements dictate.
Planning skills
• Demonstrated military experience and education is required
• Demonstrated experience with Information Operations with emphasis on OPSEC principles is required
• Experience in planning of joint military operations is required
• Experience in joint exercises, to include scenario development and execution is required
OPSEC Trainer skills
- Demonstrated expertise in OPSEC doctrine, policy, and methods is required
• Demonstrated proficiency as an instructor, in both classroom and auditorium settings is required
OPSEC Survey skills
- Significant experience working in OPSEC, Communications Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, computer network operations, criminal investigation, or counter-intelligence is required
Cyber OPSEC skills
- Demonstrated experience working with computer networks with a particular focus on computer exploitation, security and information assurance ; or
• Significant knowledge of adversary and “hacker” methods of defeating computer security systems, to include exploitation of vulnerabilities of human users (e.g. social engineering, phishing, etc.)
Desired Skills:
Planning skills
- Familiarity with deployed military operations is desired
• Demonstrated proficiency in standard office software products and military planning software is desired
OPSEC Trainer skills
- Familiarity with current OPSEC course offerings from the various services, joint, and/or interagency is desired
• Demonstrated ability in developing and applying Computer Based Training is desired
OPSEC Survey skills
- Demonstrated experience working on collaborative teams built of individuals from multiple organizations and backgrounds is desired
• Significant familiarity with routine and crisis operation of military garrisons and forward operational locations is desired
• Experience in conducting open source research is desired
Cyber OPSEC skills
- Demonstrated experience working with computer networks with a particular focus on computer exploitation, security and information assurance
• Significant knowledge of adversary and “hacker” methods of defeating computer security systems, to include exploitation of vulnerabilities of human users (e.g. social engineering, phishing, etc.)
Will involve CONUS and OCONUS travel
Qualifications:
Required Education & Amount of Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. 5+ years’ experience
- **Active Top Secret Clearance required and TS-SCI eligible***
- **Position contingent upon contract award***
