C/C++ Linux Software Engineer (Job Number:318151)
Description:
Software Developer to support CORE Software located in Huntsville, Al and DC metro region. Relocation assistance is not provided. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
DESCRIPTION: The candidate will perform software analysis, design and tests software specific to area of business. Determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters to meet business requirements for a large scale command and control software development project. The Candidate will also serve as a member of a test team supporting fielding of an army tactical network initialization tool software development activities. Testing activities will include support for internal testing, development of system and sub-system level integration test procedures, execution of integration test procedures, and supporting milestone FQT test activities. The selected individual must be willing to support atypical work hours on occasion to prepare and execute formal deliveries when needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS: -Linux OS/C++..
Previous experience with C++ development on a Linux/Unix platform. - Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and design patterns. - Ability to obtain a security clearance required. - Experience with distributed computing environments, multi-threaded application development.
Skills: At least some C++/Linux experience. Familiarity with Eclipse is not required but is a plus. BCTM/SOSCOE experience is also a plus, but not required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS in Computer Science or related field and 7 years experience. 4 additional years of experience can be in lieu of degree.
