Description:
SharePoint Administrator to support a program in Washington D.C., Huntsville, AL, Tampa, FL. Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Senior Administrator serves as the primary individual to develop, plan, implement and maintain the program sites. This also includes developing custom workflows to support the programs processes, working with program security to ensure proper site access are in place, and creating online custom forms and custom web pages as required.
This position will work with the program offices to analyze and collect site user requirements and provide them an understanding of what capabilities the program can provide to the teams. Based on the ongoing analysis, the Administrator will define/maintain the sites taxonomies, polices, and procedures. Individual must be highly motivated in this area of computing in order to stay current with present trends and activities. The Sr. Administrator must have strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal instruction and supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Works with leadership and committees to ensure compliance to design, software, security, and governance and taxonomy standards as related to the program
- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the program sites
- Provide status updates to senior program management
- Responsible for configuration and maintenance of new and existing sites
- Train staff on new feature-sets as necessary
- Building/Implementing custom SharePoint workflows
- Building/Implementing custom SharePoint web pages
- Evaluate new and existing products to address customer requirements and develop recommendations where appropriate
Required Skill Set:
The Senior Administrator requires a strong working knowledge of related technologies including but not limited too the following:
- Microsoft Office desktop applications,
- SharePoint Designer (both 2007 and 2010),
- InfoPath
- SharePoint Workflows
- Database experience building applications using Access, SQL Server.
Qualifications:
Education & Training: The candidate shall have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Certifications are desired:
• Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) SharePoint 2010 (this requirement is strongly preferred – the successful candidate will have the ability to achieve the MCM certification)
• At least 7 years supporting web development, primarily on SharePoint, with two years’ experience supporting SharePoint 2010 in a multiform, enterprise environment
The following certification is desirable:
• MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development
• MCTS: Configuring Microsoft SharePoint 2010
• MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010
The following skills and abilities are required:
• An understanding on how to use SharePoint ULS logging and Correlation ID's to be able to look up error logs
• Should understand the Service Application architecture and how it is being utilized at the SEC
• Should have experience in establishing trusted connections and shared services between farms
• Should know how to use the Health Analyzer in Central Administration
• Should know how to monitor and manage the patching level of the farm and all servers in the farm
• Should understand how SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 are integrated with SharePoint 2010
• Should have experience in installing and implementing Power Pivot within a SharePoint 2010 environment
• Designing and implementing SharePoint 2010 environments
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting SharePoint search technologies
• Strong working knowledge of SharePoint architecture patterns including all service applications at scale
• Well-developed knowledge of solution architecture using SharePoint and related technologies
• Knowledge of SharePoint APIs and solution implementation best practices
• Knowledge of all editions of SharePoint as well as previous versions
• Hands on experience of SQL, IIS, Windows Server
• Experience of storage, network and server technologies related to SharePoint
• Ability to design, evaluate, document, assess and implement changes to complex SharePoint 2010 farms.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems, research and evaluate patches and hotfixes, analyze ULS and SharePoint logs.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint designer, InfoPath and SharePoint workflows.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Evaluate proposed SharePoint configuration changes and provide assessments and alternatives.
• Ability to evaluate current and future farm capacity and trend usage.
• Working knowledge of all SharePoint components including Office Web Applications, User Profiles, Publishing, Secure Store, BCS and Search
• Working knowledge of RBS technology
• Ability to evaluate and implement best practices.
