Job Description: The IMS 3 will assist the Site Manager to oversee and manage all central staging area operations in support of the DLA Industrial Product-Support Vendor (IPV) Contract. The task involves frequent interface with the DLA COR to ensure the smooth flow of PEB/bench stock parts to the industrial production repair line. Customer satisfaction and the meeting of all parts availability metrics are the primary objectives of the site team. The individual shall direct the efforts of a team of SAIC and subcontractor employees who will perform the following functions on a daily basis: timely processing of receipt of material, movement of material from central receiving point or warehouse to the staging areas, performing Kind-Count-Condition check on inbound and outbound shipments, documenting all transactions in the appropriate supply chain systems.
Qualifications:
Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years IPV or Government supply chain management experience with 1 year of that being in a team-lead capacity. Possess excellent working knowledge of DOD logistics systems, concepts, and customer support processes. Direct experience working with DLA to provide customer service operations to DOD repair depot customers for consumable items.
Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree is desirable.
Knowledge/Skills Required: Detailed knowledge of MILSTRIP, BSM/EMALL, and DOD supply chain procedures required to expedite material to customers, processes receipts and returns, and submission of SDRs and PQDRs. A thorough working knowledge of supply systems to include query capability, demand analysis, status check, Spot buy processes, and overall PEB/bench stock management understanding. Capable of lifting a minimum of 40 pounds. Requires individual to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Individual must have a valid state driver’s license.
Knowledge/Skills Desired: The individual should have excellent working knowledge of IPV processes for material handling, receiving and warehousing operations for both customer owned and company owned assets. Forklift driving experience.
Required Interpersonal Skills: Must be customer focused, energetic and confident with sound practical judgment and problem solving abilities. Must have solid team building and management skills. Must be able to listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns then use resources available to resolve issues.
