Sr. Electrical Engineer The Electrical Engineering and Integration Division currently has an opening for a Sr. Electrical Engineer. JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidate will perform a broad range of engineering design/development and continuation engineering duties in support of the Weapons Integration Program. The desired candidate will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to integration of avionics, sensors, communication equipment, test equipment and diagnostics equipment on commercial and military aircraft. Electrical Engineering duties and responsibilities in support of this program include:
- Apply Electrical engineering principals for design synthesis, evaluation of alternative architectures, market survey of COTS components
- Perform design integration, production planning, system and product configuration control, prepare engineering change proposals, prepare system and component specifications
- Develop test and evaluation plans, test criteria, evaluate test data, provide test reports
- Support maintenance planning and integrated logistics management, develop user guides and trouble-shooting instructions
- Provide support for reliability, maintainability and availability modeling and analysis
- Provide direct support of fielded Equipment
- Develop design risk mitigation plans, support system safety analyses
- Develop system integration tests, provide technical support to installers during ship integration processes
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related field) plus eight years related experience. Possess knowledge, skills, and experience in integrated computer/electrical system design development, Electrical engineering analyses, project planning, DoD acquisition program execution, test and evaluation. Strong analytical and communications skills, both oral and written, are required. Candidate must be able to obtain and hold a Secret security clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS: Electrical engineering analysis techniques, requirements management, specification development, product/system configuration management, computer and communication network integration. Familiarity with DoD acquisition guidelines and program management a plus. Ability to prepare system models, reports, presentation using Microsoft Office a must
