SAIC has a job opening for a Software Engineer to support our Navy client in Washington D.C.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and challenging environment supporting a US Navy Client whose mission is acquiring and maintaining the littoral mission capabilities of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class from end to end, beginning with procurement, and ending with fleet employment and sustainment. The Software Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting Program Managers within the Program Executive Officer for Littoral Combat Ships.
This is a contingent position with funding expected in March 2014.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities may include a multitude of tasks such as:
Required Skills: A total of at least 4 to 15 years of professional experience with respect to DoD programs/projects. capable of supporting IT engineering related to system design and development, software coding and testing, software development lifecycle (SDLC), interface design and validation, knowledge management, business intelligence, service oriented architecture, data center virtualization/cloud computing, data fusion, architecture and related current and future IT technologies
Desired Skills: CMMI, Integrated Development Environment, Software Development Tools; System Integration, Test and Evaluation, Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process; System Administration, Database Management, Agile Development
Desired Certifications: Information Technology Infrastructure Library ITIL)
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or postgraduate degree (desired but not required) from an accredited college or university or a comparable range of experience, training, or professional certification
Clearance Required: Secret
