Java Architect (Job Number:406076)
Description:
SAIC has an opportunity for a Senior level Java Architect responsible for providing high-level application architectural support to include the development of architectural products and deliverables for a program of software systems. The position also develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy. Provides fact-finding and research as required for the project. May advise on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. This is a leadership role and requires skill and experience leading technical projects and mentoring less experienced staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline with 10+ years of experience. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Expert knowledge of Object oriented design and analysis.
- Expert knowledge of building/deploying robust JEE compliant enterprise web applications.
- Expert knowledge of the software engineering approach, based on object- oriented methodology, design patterns, and layered application architecture.
- Expert Knowledge of Automated builds and testing (JUnit, Maven, Hudson, etc).
- Knowledge of Eclipse, JBoss, Ant.
- Knowledge of Use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, and UML techniques.
- Design and coding walkthroughs.
- Expert knowledge of Graphical User Interface (GUI) development and accessibility (Section 508) standards and techniques.
- Expert knowledge of SQL Server. - Knowledge of data modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of Database normalization techniques and Transaction Management systems.
- Knowledge of MQSeries software.
- Knowledge of Server and Server administration.
- Object Oriented testing and debugging techniques.
- Knowledge of ERSI software and Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
