OVERVIEW:

SAIC is currently looking for a Capture Director within the Strategic Growth Markets Customer Group. The position works with the Business Development team to focus on winning new business opportunities in the Commercial and State and Local industries. . The position will report to the Vice President, Director of Business Development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include leading all phases of Capture management - developing, maintaining and executing Capture strategies and detailed Capture plans (including call plans). The Capture Manager is responsible for leading opportunities to successful award. The Individual will lead the Capture planning for opportunities supporting Information Technology related activities focused principally on Information Technology Outsourcing and Managed Services Opportunities.. Individual will be an integral part of the business development team, supporting sales and business development, client interaction, proposal development activities, marketing, communications, and competitive analysis. As required for successful Capture, the individual will also participate in proposal development. Individual will present Capture status and be a key resource in making pursue discussions. Individual will also identify and qualify prospective teaming partners. Networking responsibilities may include negotiating marketing and teaming opportunities with other Business Unit and Groups in SAIC to result in a winning bid, as well as external industry associates at senior levels. Candidate must be capable of managing multiple captures simultaneously (but in different phases). Candidate must follow SAIC and business unit processes for business development. This will include assembling a capture team, managing a capture team, contacting prospective and existing clients and partners, communicating the organizations core capabilities, and establishing internal and external teaming arrangements. The candidate must be capable of developing (with Subject Matter Expert (SME) support) solutions for assigned opportunities. Managing relationships with customers, partners, and staff is as important as solution development. The Capture manager is responsible for managing all the activities necessary to transform qualified opportunities into wins. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of State and Local and Commercial industry contracting, contract types and procurement processes. Candidate must be team-oriented and demonstrate strong reasoning and communications skills, both oral and written.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-

Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience 10+ years related Capture/business development experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Capture efforts within the State and Local government and Commercial industry segments.
- Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including: opportunity qualification, Capture strategy, customer visits, customer relationship development, relationship development with competition, team leadership, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Must have more than 10+ years’ experience in leading and managing Business Development Capture activities within the State and Local and Commercial Industry space. Must have proven track record in capturing programs and developing winning proposals and managing proposal activities on bids greater than $50M; must have demonstrated capability for oral and written communication with all levels of company and customer management. Must have extensive experience in developing fixed priced, resource unit based solutions for managed services engagements that include IT infrastructure solutions, and applications management and support solutions,. Excellent analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills; Must have the ability to gain internal support and to operate independently without supervision. Must have the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers and peers. Security clearance is a plus.
