System Administrator-Intermediate for PBUSE (Job Number:406350)
Description:
SAIC is looking for a System Administrator-Intermediate for the PBUSE contract in Ft. Lee, VA.
This candidate is responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of one or more operating systems. Duties include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, validating and implementing critical system patches, and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Schedules, plans, and oversight of system upgrades. Develops functional requirements through interaction with end-users and coordinates with development team on systematic enhancements or changes.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school education or equivalent and 6+ years of related data processing experience. Knowledge of personal computer and server processes and network operations is preferred.
Must have experience working IT systems or software programming experience. Desired experience in with PBUSE or Oracle SPARC systems, Citrix, NETScaler, Solaris 11, Solaris Zones, Sun-7420 Storage appliances Apache and Tomcat. Desired experience with PBUSE integration and general support for system administration. Candidate must have an Information assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification. IT-II sensitivity level is required. Knowledge of US Army PBUSE system and how it supports the operational Army world-wide desired.
