CAD Drafter/Designer III (Job Number:406855)
Description:
Job Description: SAIC is looking for a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) professional to assist in the development of three-dimensional (3D) models from various reverse engineering processes. Candidate will work closely with government customer to develop 3D models from hardware, photographs, and geometric documentation. CAD models will be developed with multiple levels of detail and exported for various engineering analysis such as RF signature prediction, IR signature prediction, or CFD analysis. Communication and collaboration with local CAD modeling personnel as well as remote CAD analysts is required.
Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience: Associate Degree and 2+ years’ experience in CAD. BS degree in Drafting and Design, Design Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or Computer Engineering/Science is desired. Candidates should have experience developing 3D CAD geometry. Work will be performed in a fast paced environment that will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other team members.
Desired Skills: Experience with McNeel Rhinoceros, PhotoModeler, or Pointcloud processing software such as Polyworks and Geomagic is desired but not required. Experience with metrology tools such as a coordinate measurement machines (CMMs) and laser scanners is also helpful.
