Senior SCCM Engineer SME
SAIC is looking for an SCCM IT SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) team in Washington, DC.
System engineers on our team provide technical leadership to teams as a Windows subject matter expert(SME) with experience in SCCM in modernizing and enhancing and upgrading the PBGC Information Technology Infrastructure. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements, developing requirements and design specification documents, evaluating alternative technical solutions via trade studies, designing solutions, and verifying compliance with requirements. Also Provides guidance to others to achieve goals and technical objectives in accordance with established policies.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree plus nine years of related IT and systems engineering experience. An additional 4 years of general technical experience may be substituted for a Degree.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: All candidates for consideration must be eligible to obtain a US public trust clearance.
REQUIRED SKILLS: The successful candidate must have significant familiarity with Windows IT infrastructures and SCCM experience, including a variety of networks, servers, and databases. Specific skills include: Windows 7; Windows Server 2012 R2, SCCM 2012 R2, scripting and knowledge of MSI packaging. Must have strong written communication skills and a solid understanding of requirements analysis and verification.
DESIRED SKILLS: ITIL certification, knowledge, and experience. Experience in major SCCM upgrades. Process improvement experience. Data center management and systems administration experience. Specific desired tools include: reporting tools, Alteris, Powershell, VMWare. MCSE Server Infrastructure certification is also desired.
