Vehicle Integration Support Engineer (Job Number:406432)
Description:
This part-time position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity with SAIC to support NASA’s current and future human spaceflight programs. You will work directly with senior managers and engineers within the Johnson Space Center’s Space Exploration Division, a part of the Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) Directorate at JSC. You will coordinate with Division engineers across all spacecraft systems associated with the Multi Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV), use your engineering/spacecraft background to understand current S&MA issues and concerns, maintain awareness of significant MPCV program and subsystem schedule milestones, and integrate this information into status reports/schedules for Division management.
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering, Math, physics, or other science degree.
- Experience in and knowledge of human spacecraft systems relating to design, maintenance, and operations
• Demonstrated ability to obtain, interpret, and integrate data from multiple complex sources into clear data packages for senior managers
• Experience in Space Shuttle or ISS flight/ground operations
• Ability to communicate with multiple engineers and their spacecraft systems in a dynamic work environment
