Engineering Technician(s) IV (Job Number:405630)
Description:
Provide support to engineers on technical projects and/or products. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data. May create, build, assemble, modify and/or repair prototypes. Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.). Performs mathematical calculations per engineering specifications. Undertakes analyses of data where guidelines are provided. Recommends alternative solutions to problems and obstacles. May set-up and conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering analysis.
Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience: Must have at least a High School diploma or equivalent. Formal electronics training from a Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training must be in: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors. Progressive Experience: Must have at least four (4) years of experience in electronics, troubleshooting, or equipment repair.
