Service Desk Systems Engineer (Job Number:405005)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will provide telephonic decision analysis and resolution troubleshooting support to end users of the Entry Control Point Systems.
The candidate will perform decision analysis and resolution utilizing COLTS database to create work orders and generate trouble tickets for respective FSRs.
The candidate will utilize COLTS to track all issues from ticket generation to resolution to support resolution validation and verification.
The candidate will generate and maintain an accurate and current log of all help desk related requests and document problems and issues as well as provide feedback and suggestions for improving system functionality based on systems engineering design and analysis processes.
The candidate will perform systems engineering analysis function such as identification and reporting of trending issues that indicate system, network or other related failure(s) and perform troubleshooting and test solutions.
This position supports a 24/7/365 capability and will require non-standard work schedule.
Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years technical training OR Bachelor’s degree and one year of systems engineering experience highly preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS: The candidate must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products for documentation, reporting, and tracking purposes.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: COLTS experience.
