Radar Analyst (Job Number:405009)
Description:
The Sensors Test Analysis Requirements Simulation (STARS) team is seeking a Sea-Based X-Band Analyst who will enhance our support of the Missile Defense Agency’s sensor systems. This position requires a details oriented individual who will perform a variety of tasks including operating the SBX radar and analyzing performance from flight and ground tests. The ideal candidate will have x-band missile defense radar systems experience (SBX or AN/TPY-2) and have a good understanding of systems engineering processes, missile defense architectures and Air and Missile Defense radar applications. The candidate should be capable of be executing documented test and analysis procedures on a demanding schedule and is a self- starter who can work with minimal supervision. The position will include collaboration within a team environment while emphasizing individual contributions to produce products that are valuable to the customer. Candidate must have good people skills, excellent communicator and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers.
Qualifications
:
Education Requirement: Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics or at least 5 years of applicable experience. Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge of missile defense radar systems and how they operate. Experience in radar operations, analysis, and concepts of operations combined with the ability to follow procedures and troubleshoot issues. Candidate must be able to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including government and external industry personnel. Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with UNIX and Linux operating systems. Candidate should be proficient in Matlab or similar analysis tools, and experience with Unix/Linux is a plus as well. Experience in radar configuration is desired along with experience in radar analysis using Matlab.
