Description:



SAIC continues to expand out support for the US Navy and its focus on technology based warfare. That growth has creat an opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join the SAIC team in Washington, DC.

As an architecture expert:

- Provides assistance and advice to the Navy ERP Program in development of the Navy ERP architecture and improving alignment with overarching Navy and DoD Enterprise Architectures.
- Develops and maintains System and Enterprise Architecture (EA) views and supporting artifacts, including Business Process models and integration of data model content, linking data to processes.
- Documents Architecture Management guidance to maintain the integrity of the architecture.

Qualifications:
Specific Skills and Experience:

- Demonstrated experience developing transition plans, documenting steps to move from an “as-is” to the “to-be” architecture for an Enterprise Business System.

- Demonstrated experience in assessing Enterprise Architectures similar in scope to Navy ERP and their alignment and traceability to their overarching architectures.

- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining traceability of requirements across DODAF views, identifying gaps and implementing improvements to Enterprise Architectures.

- Demonstrated experience producing conceptual and logical data models and incorporating them into holistic architectural representations compliant with the DoDAF framework.

- Previous experience performing analysis and producing documentation revealing the interdependencies between processes, technologies, applications and data.

- Demonstrated experience producing architectural designs for discoverable web services in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment to provide flexible, secure, standardized bi-directional interfaces to enterprise systems.

- Extensive knowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and experience creating a complete set of DoDAF views for an enterprise system and making them available for review in a variety of formats, including hyperlinked HTML pages.

- Must have at least 2 years of experience developing business process models compliant with the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standard as published by OMG.org in the last 10 years.

- Must have at least 1 years of experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and development of implementation architectures in the last 10 years.

- Must have at least 2 years of experience with the IBM Rational System Architect modeling tool in the last 10 years.
