Systems Engineer, Project Lead (Job Number:405324)
Description:
SAIC is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to provide support to the Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), Ground Vehicle Power & Mobility in Warren, MI. The candidate will use their experience in a range of Systems Engineering principles to lead execution and delivery of systems engineering work products as part of a program team.
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for applying systems engineering processes, methods and tools over an entire project/product lifecycle. Specific areas of responsibility include: Concept of Operations Formulation, Requirements Definition, Analysis and Engineering, System Architect, System Analysis and Design, Interface and Data Architectures, Validation and Verification, System Integration, System & Operational Performance Analysis, Lifecycle Cost Analysis & Estimation, Decision Analysis and Resolution, Risk Management, and providing support for program and technical reviews.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to lead systems engineering project/product efforts, and the ability to successfully execute several program efforts simultaneously.
Qualifications
:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- BS in Engineering or related technical degree with at least 5 years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer
- Experience in applying Systems Engineering tools and processes (DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.) to complex project/product solutions
- Experience leading Systems Engineering aspects of a project/product team
- Experience in technical reviews including SRR/SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR
- Experience in vehicle or automotive related engineering discipline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a US citizen able to obtain a Secret Clearance
DESIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- MS in Engineering or related technical degree
- Vehicle or automotive engineering related experience related to system development, integration and verification testing
- Program Management experience
