Enterprise Network Operations Security Center (ENOSC) Lead job available at Fort Bragg, located near Fayetteville, NC.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Enterprise Network Operations Security Center (ENOSC) Lead will provide hands-on management of a team charged with monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting events, degradations, and outages throughout 24-hour operations, 365 days a year in support of the U.S. Army Reserve enterprise services. He/She will schedule resources to support the various shifts. Candidate shall act as the central point of contact for event management and correlation, is responsible for event escalation, and after action review of all events.
PRIMARY RESPOSIBILITIES:
• Provide effective leadership and mentoring of personnel
• Manage, coordinate, and escalate events with supporting teams and the customer as required and provide periodic status updates through resolution
• Schedule personnel to support 24 hour operations
• Manage, create, refine, and execute documented process and provide recommendations for process improvement
• Document issues and escalate, as required, based on impact to enterprise services
• Manage and perform maintenance tasks and document results
• Manage and update daily task logs and event tracking
• Manage and update status reports
• Interface with supporting teams on process improvement, documentation requirements, and standard operating procedures to increase effectiveness of team
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position requires the availability for and willingness to work flexible/extended hours, including weekend on-call support as needed to maintain 24/7/365 operations.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 6+ years related experience in the computer operations field. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. At least one year of supervisory experience required. A current/active CompTIA Security+ certification (or DoD 8570 IAT Level II equivalent) is also required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Comprehensive knowledge of IT operations and related systems.
• Ability to conduct himself/herself in a manner that reflects responsibility, accountability, competence and a positive attitude while treating others with dignity and respect
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to exercise independent judgment within broadly defined procedures and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have demonstrated the ability to present material to senior DoD and non- DoD officials
• Demonstrated capacity for organization and prioritization in a dynamically changing environment
• Experience using server and service level monitoring software
• Experience using an enterprise ticketing system
• Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for reporting and status updates
• Knowledge of Windows operations System and Microsoft based applications and technologies
• Ability to perform system administration functions
• Ability to lead and work as an effective team member
• Knowledge of scripting with batch, VBS, and PowerShell
• Currently possess Level II DoD 8570 certifications: Security+ (or their equivalent)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• ITIL v3 Foundations Certification (Required within 60 days of hire)
• Computing Environment Certifications such as MCITP or MCTS
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or facilities.
