Description:



- Provide WMD and CBRN expertise in support of U.S. Pacific Command (PACAF) Arms Control (AC), Counterproliferation (CP) and C-WMD/C-CBRN policies, plans and programs
- Analyst will research, review, and analyze policy and technical issues and provide recommendations in support of:
-- Arms control treaty negotiations, implementation, compliance planning, guidance documents, and Air Force Instructions
-- Improving and institutionalizing MAJCOM Counterproliferation (CP) and C-WMD/C-CBRN operational capabilities
- Provide MAJCOM subject matter expertise for arms control treaty and nonproliferation agreements including, but not limited to Open Skies, New START, Chemical and Biological Weapons Conventions
- Assist MAJCOM implementation of tasks derived from HAF direction, the C-CBRN Master Plan and Roadmaps, drafts and prepares doctrine style documents for AF and/or PACAF review and implementation
- Plan/execute/support AC, CP, C-WMD/C-CBRN plans, operations, education and training, exercises/war-game, and inspection activities
- Prepare annual programming and budgeting submissions to support PACAF AC implementation & compliance activities
- Provide liaison support between PACAF, other AF, and DoD-wide operational planning and policymaking forums, especially for USPACOM
- Support ongoing PACAF Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) Challenge Inspection planning and implementation
- Support special projects or studies critical to the resolution of near and long term policy issues and problems related to arms control and countering weapons of mass destruction.
- Draft and coordinate staff packages for review and approval
- Create issue/point papers, reports, meeting minutes and other documents, as required
- Build and present briefings
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Arts degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Masters degree is strongly desired.

- Minimum of eight years of military, Government, or defense industry experience
- Knowledge of Air Force administrative and operational procedures
- Top Secret SCI eligibility

Prior experience on COCOM, Joint, Air and/or MAJCOM staff, as well as nuclear experience desired
Strongly desire prior USAF operaitonal and plans experience in Pacific theater.
Arms control and CWMD experience strongly preferred
