Description:
SAIC is currently seeking an individual to support a Program that Consolidates Post Deployment Software Support services for more than 10 systems under a single prime contractor. The candidate will also apply ITIL v3 processes and procedures to maintain and sustain the systems. The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team organization using CMMI ML 3 best practices to plan, manage, and execute the design, test, implemenation and documenation of system enhancements and new capabilities. Responsibilities include: providing technical and programmatic leadership to technical team of software engineers, DBAs, testers, SMEs and software developers; define requirements, assign resources, and manage project cost, schedule and performance; ensure project deliverables are met on-time and to contractual standards; interact with users, government customers and senior management on project requirements, deliverables, and execution; coordinate actions with subcontractors. Responsible for developing a SOA architecture over existing legacy systems to reduce overall system complexity, reduce maintenance costs, and reduce costs to develop new capabilities. Design and implement core web service. Extract existing capabilities from legacy systems to become shared web services. Manage design and implementation of SOA web services, and ECPs of legacy systems.
Qualifications
:
Must have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Computer/ Software Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university. An advanced degree in engineering is desirable. Must either currently have or be capable of completing the following certifications within 18 months of assuming duties: Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) (previously known as Certified Software Engineering Professional (CSEP)), complete a vendor/platform specific certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), other).
Must have at least ten (10) years of experience in systems engineering, development, production, or test and evaluation in the area of computer and systems engineering on various C4ISR requirements, programs and/or projects such as, but not limited to: Navy C4I systems, Navy ERP, USMC C4ISR, USMC ERP and C4I systems or subsystems or related projects. Experience includes: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements. Experience developing SOA architectures. Software development experience in a variety of languages. Experience architecting and developing web-based database applications. Experience operating in a CMMI level 3 environment. Experience supporting DoD customers, working in NIPR and SIPR environments, supporting DIACAP requirements.
Additionally, this position requires at least three (3) years of the last (4) years of demonstrated experience in directing, reviewing and coordinating work performed by other contractor staff while maintaining effective liaison with Government technical and contracting personnel.
