Job Description
Responsible for supporting the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) process for the systems of several METOC programs. Must identify and track security vulnerabilities, mitigate the risks associated with the security vulnerabilities throughout the programs lifecycle. Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Notices including Alerts, Bulletins and Technical advisories (IAVA, IAVB, IAVT) and other identified security vulnerabilities that apply to METOC programs and coordinate with software teams and subject matter experts (SME) to develop, test and implement security solutions and/or mitigations. Assist with preparing, scanning and maintaining METOC systems to be in compliance with DISA security requirements. Provide security posture status and reports to required DoD agencies.
MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE UPON START.
Specific work duties and responsibilities include:
- IAVA/IAVB/IAVT Compliance
- DISA STIG Implementation / SRR Checklists
- eEye Retina Security Scans
- Installing and testing METOC software
- Reporting IA compliance using VRAM and OCRS
Qualifications
:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 4+ years of operating systems experience. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-DOD 8570 Certified IAT Level 2 (Security+ preferred)
-Linux Certification such as Linux+ or RHCSA (training certificate from SPAWAR approved vendor may be accepted)
DESIRED SKILLS: Should have the following skill sets:
1. Bash/shell scripting
2. SRR/STIG Implementations
3. Experience with security (policies and patches)
4. Familiar with DIACAP (DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process)
5. Linux/Unix experience
6. Military or METOC experience a plus
