Senior Network Engineer (Team Lead) (Job Number:401644)
Description:
Under general direction, responsible for WAN/CAN/LAN network management, network equipment/software security, Directory Services, Active Directory configurations. Analyzes OEM products to determine those which best meet the organization’s network needs; assists in presentation of information to management resulting in purchase and installation of network hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment. Manages network performance and maintains network security. Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced. Installs all network software. Evaluates, develops and maintains telecommunications systems. Manages network incidents, fault isolation and troubleshooting of network problems. Establishes and implements network policies, procedures and standards and ensures their conformance with information systems and company’s objectives. Trains subordinates on network operations.
Specialized Experience: Minimum 7 years experience, or 3 years with a minimum of Bachelors degree in Network Management, Cyber Security/IA/Computer Science and appropriate DoD 8570 certifications. The following experience may be concurrent: Four (4) years experience maintaining and developing TCP/IP networks (on Ethernet, ATM/SONET and/or wide area transports); three (3) years must be in direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.
Security Clearance: Current U.S. SECRET clearance based on an SSBI required (IT-1). Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
Qualifications
:
Education: Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics and 8 years of specialized experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but experience and/or certifications may be used in lieu of the education.
Specialized Certification: Active Cisco Professional (or equivalent vendor) Certified Engineer
Special Requirements: DoD 8570.01-M, IA workforce certification: IAT-III.
