.SAIC is seeking an Information Architect/Taxonomist with experience in enterprise content management design and implementation. For a contract opportunity in Washington DC or KC.

the Information Architect is primarily responsible for the design and development of business information models that represent business requirements including supporting online collaboration, workflow, document/content management and online search operations by users. The IA will develop and deliver strategies and solutions for managing the taxonomy, storage, classification, management, retrieval, distribution of enterprise documents and content. The IA will have experience enabling clients to effectively optimize the value of its information at a lower total cost at every point of the information lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and participate with team on a variety of taxonomy, content management, knowledge management, and information architecture projects for a variety of clients
- Analyze, design, recommend and develop content models, security models, meta-data schemas, taxonomies and content types for Enterprise Content Management Solutions (ECMS)
- Assess customer needs and analyze and recommend ECMS solutions based on tradeoffs in, architectures, content models, use of taxonomy, maintenance support for categorization, etc.
- Plan and lead meetings and working sessions to capture user needs and convey the results assessment and analysis
- Identify appropriate tools to categorize and tag existing content
- Plan and manage content audits and content analysis
- Plan and manage development of business and technical documentation
- Develop governance models, procedures, and policies
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to plan, estimate and implement an ECMS

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (or related field) and 12+ years related experience.

Requirements:

- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 12 years general IT solutions experience with 3 years' specialized experience designing, developing and implementing Enterprise Content Management solutions utilizing web applications, including document management, taxonomy, content classification, and workflow
- Previous experience in developing content taxonomies and enterprise search capabilities
- Experience designing and developing web based solutions that leverage deep content integration using commercial off-the-shelf content management solutions
- At least 2 years experience hands-on ECM product knowledge in one or more of the following technologies: Drupal, Joolma, Documentum, Oracle Webcenter Suite, Sitecore, Ektron, Interwoven/ Autonomy, Kofax, LiveLink, or similar Web Content Management systems
- Experience in requirements gathering and data analysis
- Full life cycle development and Agile project methodology
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
- Knowledge of UX best practice and usability design principles for web applications is desirable
- Experience in a developer/programming role, working with PHP, .Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technology is highly desirable.
