SAIC currently has several contingent job openings for GCSS-MC (Global Combat Support System, Marine Corps) Tier 3 Service Desk Engineers to support Oracle-based asset management operating systems in Charleston, SC.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAIC is building a team that focuses on Tier 3 Service Desk functional and network engineering support for end users that utilize Oracle-based DOD Asset management systems. Candidate will serve as a Tier 3 GCSS-MC Service Desk Engineer. Candidate will contribute to the planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluation of the GCSS-MC Program.

Candidate will resolve trouble tickets that have been escalated to Tier 3 Service Desk personnel, as necessary. Tasks will include but not be limited to the following: researching and resolving reported system issues, documenting research and resolution of reported issues, developing knowledge base articles for issues that can be resolved by the user or a lower tier, analyzing/supporting Workflow processes, making recommendations to the government client for improved efficiency and effectiveness of the GCSS-MC system, and performing root cause analysis, and communicating with government clients with solutions for identified issues within the GCSS-MC system.

Qualifications

:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of experience. 8 years of experience in a related field may be replaced in lieu of degree requirement. Security Plus certification is a plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Candidate must be knowledgeable with Oracle e-Business® Suite Modules including but not limited to the following: Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Maintenance Planning, Order Management, Customer Relationship Management, Mobile Field Service, and Automatic Identification Technologies. Candidate must be proficient with GCSS-MC user interface processes and procedures. Candidate must be able to resolve functional issues related to Oracle e-Business® systems in the GCSS-MC environment.

Candidate must possess well developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely in both verbal and written format. Must be capable of multitasking; working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous, or near simultaneous deadlines in a dynamic, fast paced and demanding work environment. Incumbent must possess highly refined organizational and administration skills. Incumbent must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy and exceptionally conscientious. Must be team oriented, and have the ability to positively interact with diverse groups of people to achieve common objectives.

DESIRED SKILLS:

End user experience with GCSS-MC within the maintenance management or supply management community. GCSS-MC fielding team, training team, or cutover team experience. GCSS-MC formal school instructor experience. Experience utilizing Remedy for managing trouble tickets.
