Acquisition Analyst (Job Number:404051)
Description:
SAIC is currently looking for an Acquisition Analyst who will support PEO Ships in executing its responsibility to satisfy current and future PEO Ships needs for acquisition management.
The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of DoD acquisition and procurement processes able to provide knowledge and expertise in the areas of Ship Project Directive (SPD) Execution Planning and Financial Execution, GFE Acquisition and Delivery Management, GFE Production Management, Schedule A through E Configuration Management, Program Management, as well as Business and Financial Planning and Execution.
The candidate will perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Required: Min of 5 yrs experience with DOD acquisition
- Required: Min of 3 yrs experience with Navy Programs
- Required: Minimum of 3 years experience working with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
- Preferred: Combat System acquisition experience
