Senior Network Manager (Team Lead) (Job Number:401646)
Description:
Under general direction, performs high-level network analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex enterprise network architectures that require a thorough knowledge of administrative, and technical skills. Directs and participates in all phases of network design and implementation with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E). Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at the network engineering solution. Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the Task Order. Serves as the technical Team Lead for the Network Services mission area. Responsible for ensuring the quality and services delivered for particular task(s) for which this skill is performing the Team Lead position.
Specialized Experience: Minimum 7 years experience, or 3 years with a minimum of Bachelors degree in Network Engineering and appropriate DoD 8570 certifications. The following experience may be concurrent: Five (5) years experience maintaining and developing TCP/IP networks (on Ethernet, ATM/SONET and/or wide area transports); three (3) years must be in direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems. Must be able to manage, provide technical direction and ensure timely and accurate administrative reporting of other engineers and technical personnel within the team.
Security Clearance: Current U.S. SECRET clearance based on an SSBI required (IT-1). Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
Qualifications
:
Education: Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics and 8 years of specialized experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but experience and/or certifications may be used in lieu of the education.
Specialized Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional
Special Requirements: DoD 8570.01-M, IA workforce certification: IAT-III.
