Description:
SAIC has a contingent job opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator (Windows / SAP Web) for a new effort to be located at Hill AFB in Ogden, UT.
Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. Responsible for directing the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance focused in the Windows Server environment with emphasis in SAP. Conducts capacity and performance analysis, and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment.
Provides a full range of technical services including system configuration design and administration, data base administration, consultation, new workload planning and storage management to DISA customers utilizing Unisys, IBM, UNIX, Linux and Windows Operating environments and systems. Support in optimizing DECC Ogden operations for a worldwide customer base, 24x7, enhancing customer support and ensuring continuity of service.
Perform System Administration functions including building new servers, migrations of applications from development to production, troubleshooting and diagnostics of applications, system and vendor software monitoring and tuning client and web applications, software and hardware upgrades, installations, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Basic Education, Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline from an accredited institution or equivelent experience. In addition to educational requirement, a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience.
Clearance: Must have a minimum of Secret with an in scope Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Candidate may start on the program with an interim secret with SSBI upgrade.
IT Level of System Access: Must be eligible for award of IT-1 level of system access. (Requires Secret/SBBI or Top Secret ) DISA may authorize interim access if personnel are awarded interim secret.
DoD 8570.1-M Requirements: Candidates must have a DoDI 8570.01-M approved Security + certification and be enrolled in the Continuing Education Program prior to beginning work on the contract and must have, or be able to obtain an approved Operating Environment certification with 180 days of their start date.

Preferred: Familiarity of Control-M.
