SAIC currently has contingent openings for technical-related positions. These positions will become part of a team of professionals supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC). These positions will be located in Houston, TX.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical positions include senior technicians, lead technicians, technicians, laboratory technologists, laboratory technician/assistants, aerospace medical technicians, etc. positions supporting NASA’s HHPC. These positions will be responsible for supporting a wide range of technical requirements including laboratory operations, training coordination, industrial hygiene, chemical hygiene, ergonomics, and quality assurance. These positions are responsible for work assigned and for completing requirements in compliance with Federal, state, local, and NASA standards and regulations; industry best practices; and SAIC processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Degree requirements vary from a minimum of specialized technical training to a BS degree in industrial hygiene, physics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Positions require varying levels of experience from zero years of technician experience (i.e., technician) to seven years of experience managing personnel (i.e., senior technician). Examples of the diverse technical-related expertise required (depending on the specific position) include: electrical, electronic, and mechanical technicians; field health professionals such as industrial hygienists, ergonomists, radiation technicians; laboratory technicians, and senior health physicist/radiation safety officer.
The contract these positions support requires successful completion of a NASA background verification per NASA Procedural Requirement (NPR) 1600.1, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Policy and Procedures, in addition to SAIC’s standard background verification process.
