SAIC has contingent job opportunities for qualified individuals to provide engineering, technical, and programmatic service design, transition and operation support to the Navy’s Shore Maintenance IT Systems, Ship Modernization and National Systems (NMMES). These positions will be based in Norfolk, VA.
Positions and requirements include:
- Service Design personnel - Successful candidates will have requisite certifications, qualifications and experience in one or more of the following: requirements analysis and software development/technical upgrade/break-fix coding, developing and deploying prototypes, providing prototype support, and analysis.
- Service Transition personnel - Successful candidates will have requisite certifications, qualifications and experience in one or more of the following: Product Integration, Test and Evaluation, Information Assurance/ Certification & Accreditation. Service Transition tasks include all actions from developing the business case and mission statement to developing the target architecture and integration strategies, developing and executing test plans, writing test scripts; problem resolution resulting from issues discovered during testing, and assisting in Information Assurance (IA) activities required for the effective sustainment of maintenance systems.
- Service Operations personnel - Successful candidates will have requisite certifications, qualifications and experience in one or more of the following: hosted environment operations and maintenance, application installation support, certification and accreditation activities; and system administration support, database management support, systems operations, Tier 2 and 3 help desk support, and site maintenance.

Required Skills and education will vary depending on position, level, and skill, and include:
Navy Information Systems experience commensurate with position; Systems Engineering, System Integration, Software Development, Test and Evaluation, Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process; System Administration, Database Management, Help Desk Support, Production Operations .
Desired Skills include: Technical Writing, Integrated Development Environment, knowledge of various server and client software, development software, database management systems and standards. Experience with integrated Government Off-the Shelf (GOTS) applications that manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of work at Intermediate and Depot level repair facilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution, or appropriate experience in lieu of degree
Required Certifications: Commensurate with position; Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), DOD 87501M IAT II.
Clearance Required: Secret
